Visions Cairo Egyptian Short Film Festival - Fifth Edition

The Film Program Presented: Visions Cairo Egyptian Short Film Festival - Fifth Edition At The American University in Cairo, Tahrir Cultural Center.

Over 120 short films, including feature, documentary, first work, and animation films (chosen from over 290 submitted this year) are participating in the festival this year. The festival features filmmaking workshops, discussion panels, an exhibition, and various other events celebrating Egyptian film culture.

A special tribute this year is dedicated to Egyptian leading cinematographer Saeed El Shimi. In his honor, the festival is holding an Exhibition featuring pictures of his work, and documentation of his professional and personal life.

This Centre is among the largest and oldest historical-cultural compounds in the city of Cairo and includes the Ewart Memorial Hall, the Oriental Hall, as well as the Legacy, Future, and the Margo Veillon Galleries.
