Music Program

The Music Program offers a Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) in Music Performance and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music Technology, or a minor in either. The Music Program also presents a variety of concerts every semester that are free and open to the public, many of them Livestream as well.

The Music Program places a dual emphasis on both Arab and Western European music cultures. Our students graduate with knowledge and practice of the theoretical and historical aspects of both aforementioned music cultures. Notably, the B. A. in Music Technology is the only degree of its type in Egypt. Our community cherishes the distinction of this program, and the many ways it serves people throughout this region.
Both degrees have received the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) equivalency, which allows AUC graduates with this degree to apply for the Egyptian Musician's Syndicate membership at the professional level.

The study of music performance and technology is fun, rewarding, and challenging. Our students are constantly engaged in performances, projects, research, and various collaborative endeavors. Each student is encouraged to explore and expand for the sake of greater mastery and insight. In the end, students acquire gifts that serve their careers, in particular, and their lives, in general. Our students develop confidence, poise, leadership, self-motivation, problem-solving acumen, time management, life-long relationships and so much more.
