Khamsa w Rage - Mental Health Awareness Project

AUC is the right place to encourage and be a part of significant worldwide initiatives. The AUC Center for the Arts sees these initiatives as excellent opportunities for faculty and students to take a role in and show the proper support.

On Mental Health Week, the AUC Center for the Arts and the Center for Student Well-being collaborated to show support for mental health by featuring one of the departments’ students' senior project, ‘Khamsa w Rage’ by Haidy Helmy, a graduate of the Graphic Design program at the Department of the Arts, American University in Cairo.

The project aims to raise awareness of depression in Egypt by teaching the community about the hidden signs of depression and how to recognize them while understanding the journey and the needs of someone with any mental struggles.
