Mood of Oud: A Night to Remember

On September 19, 2024, the AUC Music Program proudly launched its Fall Concert Series with an extraordinary performance by Egyptian oud player, Michael Onsy, at the Ewart Concert Hall in the Tahrir Cultural Center. The event celebrated the 5th anniversary of Onsy’s acclaimed project, "Mood of Oud," and drew an enthusiastic crowd of 566 attendees, eager for musical exploration.
A Journey Through Emotions
Michael Onsy's performance transported the audience through a diverse landscape of emotions, with original compositions that vividly portrayed various situations and mind states. The oud, a traditional Middle Eastern string instrument, resonated beautifully throughout the hall, drawing listeners into its rich, expressive tones.
